Netflix on Thursday announced the launch of its foray into e-commerce with Netflix.shop, an online store that will sell exclusive limited edition products inspired by Netflix shows and made in partnership with up-and-coming artists.

The shop will carry clothing, toys and games. For June, the new online store will be dropping apparel and action figures based on the anime series “Yasuke” and “Eden.” Items made in collaboration with the Musée du Louvre and inspired by the Netflix original series “Lupin” will also be dropping this month.

“We love it when great stories transcend screens and become part of people’s lives. We’re always looking at how we can extend the world of our stories for fans, from apparel and toys to immersive events and games. And it’s why today we’re launching Netflix.shop as an exciting new destination combining curated products and rich storytelling in a uniquely Netflix shopping experience,” the streaming service said in a press release.

Upcoming collections will include products inspired by Netflix programs like “The Witcher” and “Stranger Things.” The shop will also be selling Netflix logo clothing made by Japanese fashion house BEAMS.

The shop will initially only be available in the U.S. before expanding to other countries.

As of Thursday afternoon, the website appeared to be offline, possibly suggesting a high rate of traffic. The Hill has reached out to Netflix for comment.

“We’re thrilled to give fans a new way to connect with their favorite stories, and to introduce them to the next wave of artists and designers who embrace the power of storytelling in all its forms,” Netflix stated.

As The New York Times reports, this new endeavor is being led by Josh Simon, who runs the company’s consumer products division and joined Netflix in March 2020. Under Simon’s direction, Netflix has made partnerships with retailers like Walmart, Amazon, Target and Sephora.
